چکیده

Due to the increasing use of very large databases and data warehouses, mining useful information and helpful knowledge from transactions is evolving into an important research area. Most conventional data-mining algorithms identify the relationships among transactions using binary values and find rules at a single concept level. Transactions with quantitative values and items with hierarchy relation are, however, commonly seen in real-world applications. In this paper, we introduce the problem of mining generalized association rules for quantitative values. We propose fuzzy generalized rules mining algorithm for extracting implicit knowledge from transactions stored as quantitative values. Given a set of transaction and predefined taxonomy, we want to find fuzzy generalized association rules where the quantitative of items may be from any level of the taxonomy. Each item uses only the linguistic term with the maximum cardinality in later mining processes, thus making the number of fuzzy regions to be processed the same as that of the original items. The algorithm can therefore focus on the most important linguistic terms and reduce its time complexity. We propose algorithm combines fuzzy transaction data mining algorithm and mining generalized association rules algorithm. This paper related to set concepts, fuzzy data mining algorithms and taxonomy and generalized association rules.

An Overview of Mining Fuzzy Association Rules

Data mining is the process of extracting desirable knowledge or interesting patterns from existing databases for specific purposes. Many types of knowledge and technology have been proposed for data mining. Among them, finding association rules from transaction data is most commonly seen. Most studies have shown how binary valued transaction data may be handled. Transaction data in real-world a...

Optimizing Membership Functions using Learning Automata for Fuzzy Association Rule Mining

The Transactions in web data often consist of quantitative data, suggesting that fuzzy set theory can be used to represent such data. The time spent by users on each web page is one type of web data, was regarded as a trapezoidal membership function (TMF) and can be used to evaluate user browsing behavior. The quality of mining fuzzy association rules depends on membership functions and since t...

Fuzzy Weighted Associative Classifier: a Predictive Technique for Health Care Data Mining

In this paper we extend the problem of classification using Fuzzy Association Rule Mining and propose the concept of Fuzzy Weighted Associative Classifier (FWAC). Classification based on Association rules is considered to be effective and advantageous in many cases. Associative classifiers are especially fit to applications where the model may assist the domain experts in their decisions. Weigh...
